The 2016 edition of Sapporo Yukiterrace: “A new world revealed in light”

When:
Tue, 02/02/2016 to Thu, 02/11/2016

Sapporo Yukiterrace project is turning the city’s snowy winters into a creative space by giving the opportunity to artists of expressing themselves through the leitmotiv of snow and light.

This year edition’s theme was “a new world revealed in light” and it has showcased, on Sapporo Kita 3-jo Plaza “Akapla” for a ten-day period, digital creations from Japanese artists including Ryusuke Ito, Nobuhiro Shimura, Takahide Mizuuchi, Kyota Takahashi, and from the French artist François Vogel – invited with the support of Enghien-les-Bains, Creative City of Media Arts.

The project is held in parallel with the Sapporo Snow Festival, in collaboration with the private sector, aiming at making this event a new festivity in the city center and at promoting Sapporo as a UNESCO City of Media Arts.
