Sydney City of Film Hosts its Counterpart Galway for its 360 Vision Virtual Reality Event

Sydney City of Film Hosts its Counterpart Galway for its 360 Vision Virtual Reality Event

When:
Thu, 04/27/2017 to Fri, 04/28/2017

360 Vision 2017 is an invitation-only Virtual Reality Lab bringing together some of Australia’s best screen producers, directors, practitioners and artists to meet with key VR content creators and professionals for two days of inspiration, information and networking.

Galway City of Film received a special invitation from its counterpart Sydney to attend the 360 Vision event held in April along with Galway-based filmmaker Paula Kehoe.

Kehoe, originally from Melbourne and based in Connemara, is an award winning filmmaker who recently created Ireland’s first narrative-led VR 360 film titled I Am Galway 2020 as part of Galway’s successful bid for European Capital of Culture in 2020.

Following the VR events in Sydney, Melbourne City of Literature hosted special screening of Paula Kehoe’s documentary Deargdhúil: Anatomy of Passion – Poems of Máire Mhac an tSaoi, featuring a groundbreaking Irish poet.
