3rd edition of the Human City Design Award – Open Call for Applications
Seoul (Republic of Korea), a UNESCO Creative City of Design since 2010, launched the call for the third edition of the Human City Design Award.
With the aim of building a more sustainable urban ecosystem and celebrating designers that use creative design to address complex urban environment problems, Seoul in cooperation with the Seoul Design Foundation launched the international Human City Design Award in 2019. This year, for its third edition, the Award aims to bring forth creative solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 1 September to 31 October 2021, individuals or groups involved in the field of Design will be invited to submit design projects to provide solutions to urban challenges, to expand the global value of design, and to develop visions for the future.
In line with the objectives of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the competition aims to enable creativity to continue shaping the future of communities and urban areas, claiming the role of culture and creativity as a powerful driver of sustainable urban development.
