Building peace in the minds of men and women
This virtual event will talk about the school's essential role in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning. The debate will be with the world's most renowned Brazilian scientists, including the laureates of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science award, such as Professor Marcia Barbosa.
In November, Brazil celebrates Black Consciousness Day. In this context, UNESCO and the Humanize Institute organize a virtual discussion on the "General History of Africa: the Story that Needs to be Told" on 24 November 2021. It aims to raise critical reflections on equity, racism and didactic application of the GHA Collection.
UNESCO and Humanize Institute joined forces to collaborate in promoting racial equity and combating racism. In this sense, the two institutions supported the production of a new edition of the version in Portuguese of the General History of Africa (GHA) collection. The GHA collection aims to tell the history of the continent from the perspective of the Africans themselves.
