Wangari Maathai

Wangari Maathai (1940-2011), professeure et militante écologiste kenyane, a fondé en 1977 le Mouvement de la ceinture verte (Green Belt Movement), qui encourage les populations, et en particulier les femmes, à planter des arbres pour lutter contre la dégradation de l’environnement.
