Over the first weekend of May, Kobe will host its City of Design Kobe Creative City Council, a pilot project intended to facilitate the transmission of new cultural products and modes of expression. Engaging youth in this process is crucial and the event seeks to involve them in every creative aspect.

Programming includes live musical performances, film screenings, conferences and trade shows on themes including enjoying music, film and fashion in the city; to IT as an accelerator of social change; to refined food culture; and the children of the next generation.

With attracting more young people being a key objective of City of Design Kobe Creative City Council, the City seeks to inspire youth to build cooperative community efforts. The event is woven into the fabric of the city, taking place in three locations.
