Bradford presented two short films at Fabriano Film Fest

When:
Thu, 12/01/2022 to Sun, 12/04/2022

Bradford, a UNESCO Creative City of Film, presented two short films conceived by young local filmmakers during the 10th edition of the Fabriano Film Fest. This year, this film event took place from 1 to 4 December 2022 in Fabriano, a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art. The two short films “Girls Power” and “Lights of Bradford” were screened on 2 December during a section dedicated to the initiatives developed by Fabriano in the framework of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

Conceived by a collective of young filmmakers, "Girls Power" portrays the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of three teenage girls from Bradford. The film reveals the strength and compassion of a young generation of girls who share the determination to fight for equality, stop racism, support disabled people, and save the planet.

Designed by a film student from the University of Bradford, "Lights of Bradford" features a journey through a day in the Creative City, portraying its many cultures, landscapes and culinary delights.

Through their participation in the Fabriano Film Fest, an event particularly aimed at raising awareness of cinema and short films, the young filmmakers from Bradford had the opportunity to showcase their talent on an international platform. This new cooperation further nurtured the long-standing ties between Fabriano and Bradford and promoted once again inter-city cooperation between different creative fields within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
