Throughout the world, the food industry is a dynamic sector, providing social and economic benefits. However, despite its importance, many countries are facing culinary skills shortage. Youth4Food is the abbreviation for the ‘Youth in action for a creative and sustainable gastronomy’ initiative. This international project is a collaboration between creative Bergen, Dénia, Gaziantep, Östersund and Parma, and focuses on improving knowledge surrounding the food value chain. Dénia, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, together with the Valencian Board for Tourism, will hold from 29 September  to 1 October, the 1st edition of the D*na Gastronomic Festival born from a passion for Mediterranean food and local products. This open event will count on the presence of no less than 50 world-class cooks, artisans and local producers. They will demonstrate, along with decorated three-starred Michelin chef and gastronomic commissar Quique Dacosta, their creative abilities through show-cooking, workshops, conferences...
