    This module on sexual and reproductive rights is the third in a series of human rights education resources for young people. It is designed to be used by and with young people and youth activists as they support their peers through individual and collective journeys of reflection, critical analysis and action.   6. Call for Action by Ministers: Inclusive and equitable education for all learners in an environment free from discrimination and violence

    The Call for Action by Ministers, the first of its kind on homophobic and transphobic violence in education, was issued on the final day of the 17-18 May 2016 UNESCO event. The purpose of the meeting, was to raise political momentum for a meaningful agreement to tackle this violence in educational settings. It drew together Ministers and representatives from government, civil society, UN agencies and other multi-lateral agencies.

    The report explores a range of policies which advance and protect the rights of LGBT citizens. The report is structured to group policies together depending on whether they were made by legislative, judicial or executive branches of government.     The Women and Equalities Committee report on Transgender Equality makes over 30 recommendations in a wide range of policy areas. It calls on the Government to take action to ensure full equality for trans people, emphasising the need to update existing legislation; provide better services, especially in the NHS; and improve confidence in the criminal justice system.
